Varieties Of Breast Cancer

Ductul carcinoma
The most common form of breast cancer is ductal carcinoma, which begins in the cells of the ducts.

Lobular carcinoma
Cancer that begins in the lobes or lobules is called lobular carcinoma. It is more often found in both breasts than are other types of breast cancer.

Inflammatory breast cancer
In this form of breast cancer, cancer spreads to the skin of the breast, while the breast looks red and swollen and feels warm. Redness and warmth occur because the cancer cells block the lymph vessels. The skin of the breast may also show the pitted appearance called peau de orange (like the skin of an orange). There may not be-able feel any lumps in the breast. Inflammatory breast cancer may be stage IIIB, stage IIIC, or stage IV.
